Four Weeks Old

It is hard to believe that it has already been four weeks since Alexander blessed us with his presence. What an adorable little man...

Alex is growing like crazy, weighing in at over 8 pounds this week. He is eating up to 4.5 ounces at some of his feedings and as you can see from the picture below, 4.5 ounces makes him really sleepy!

Alex spends his mornings hanging out with Daddy before he has to go to work. They bond over a bottle and Sports Center.

In the afternoons Alex hangs out with Travis. He held Alex long enough for Mom to cut a brownie for him for a snack. One day Alex will probably love brownies as much as Travis but for now formula is the snack of choice.

When it is nice outside, Mom takes Alex for a walk around the neighborhood or if it is cold they go to a store and walk around just to get out of the house. Alex is a good little shopper : )

Scrub-A-Dub-Dub

Alex isn't quite sure what to think of bath time. We started with sponge baths for the first two weeks and then Sunday night he had his first tub bath. Alex, like most boys, doesn't like to take a bath BUT he loves to have his hair washed. He gets himself all worked up during the bath and then washing his hair settles him right back down. Travis was the same way when he was a baby.

First things first

I'll catch you up on what has happened so far, Alexander was born on 2/25/2010 at 4:33 AM.  He decided that he would enter this world on his own terms apparently...three and a half weeks early.  Not that we minded, it couldn't have worked out better since daddy wasn't at work.  Anything that keeps mommy happy is good, right?  Anyway, about 2 weeks have gone by and with many a bottle his weight has gone up from 6 lb 8.5 oz at birth to 7 lb 8 oz for his first pediatrician checkup.  Nothing but good reports so far.  I'll let mommy attach some more good pictures for his fans!  The pictures below are: 1) Mommy and big brother Travis holding Alex about 5 hours after birth, 2) the first time Alex had his eyes open continuously in the hospital,  and 3) Alex holding Daddy's hand and smiling.
