Two Month Checkup

Alex had his two month check up yesterday. He is 23.5 inches long and is chunking up nicely at 11 and a half pounds...see his chubby cheeks below : )



He got several immunizations but seems to be doing ok. He has been Mr. Cranky Pants today but who wouldn't be after all that. Hopefully tomorrow he will feel better but until then we just try to keep him as happy as we can with infant Tylenol and lots of TLC. Since he hasn't slept much today, Travis enjoyed some Tummy Time with him after school. I am hoping he will sleep really well tonight since he has been so restless today.

Tummy Time

I probably should save this posting until later in the week since I just posted this morning but these pictures were too cute not to share immediately. So I'm spoiling Alex's loyal fans with a double posting today...

One of Alex's favorite times of the day now is Tummy Time. Alex and Mommy throw a blanket on the floor and hang out. Alex practices holding his head up and squirming all around. He kicks his feet and smiles and talks to Mommy. He really likes being on his tummy.

This is becoming one of Mommy's favorite times of the day too. He is just the happiest little fella!

Shooting for the stars...

At seven weeks old Alex has decided that he wants to be a Rocket Scientist when he grows up...ok, Daddy has decided that Alex wants to be a rocket scientist when he grows up. By the looks of the following pictures though Alex seems to be pretty happy with the decision.

Our tough guy weighs 11 pounds now and slept all night last night...YEAH!!! Mommy and Daddy hope this is the first of many restful nights to come : )

Double Digits

Our little muscle man has hit double digits weighing in at around 10 pounds 9 ounces at 6 weeks old. He is getting bigger and stronger everyday!




Alex loves to have tummy time with Mommy and Daddy. This is mommy's favorite time with him because he is such a cuddlebug! He also loves to snuggle and be rocked in the rocking chair.

Daddy likes it when Alex is wide awake and ready to play. Alex loves to hold Daddy's fingers. If he is unhappy sometimes Daddy can soothe him just by offering a finger to grab on to and squeeze. He is usually a pretty happy guy though.

Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter! This is a picture of Alex in a sleeper that his great-great aunts Jeanie and Ruth sent to him. It has bunnies for feet and even has a little cotton tail on his bottom.

Alex and Travis got matching hi-top Chucks in their Easter Baskets. Alex looked so cute in his Easter outfit and his new Chucks.

Alex and our dog Bubba did some bonding over the weekend. Bubba has adjusted well and doesn't really pay alot of attention to Alex. He just wishes he had all the attention still.

Alex really seemed to enjoy being around Bubba though. Daddy actually got a great picture of Alex smiling while he was laying with Bubba. How appropriate Alex's shirt says Roar because Bubba is so fuzzy that he looks like a little lion. We think they will be great pals in a year or so.

As for an update on everything else, at 5 weeks Alex weighed around 9 pounds 6 ounces. He is eating about 4-5 ounces per bottle and is going about 3 1/2 - 4 hours between each feeding. He is around 22 inches long and is starting to outgrow his newborn clothes and shoes. He still has a head full of dark hair and we just keep hoping that he won't lose any of it. He also still dislikes bathtime, loves his hair washed and really hates to have lotion put on him. He sings little songs to you sometimes when he sleeps and he has the sweetest smiles. His little cheeks are getting chubby and he is just as cute as ever.
