Gentlemen Start Your Engines

Last weekend Alex experienced his first trip to the racetrack, the first of many I'm sure. Nanny and Paw-Paw gave Travis a ride-along in a racecar for his birthday last fall and the weather FINALLY cooperated enough for Travis to get his ride.

Daddy took Alex to check out victory lane ...

Alex didn't seem phased by the racecars and was his usual happy self.

It was really a fun day!

Alex is 12 weeks old now and weighs approximately 13 pounds, 13 ounces. He is sleeping through the night (Yeah!) and is eating cereal twice a day now. Unfortunately, his head full of hair is starting to thin and only time will tell if he is going to lose it all. He is babbling up a storm and smiles alot!

Mothers Day and My Gorgeous Boys

I just have to say thanks to my wonderful husband and my two gorgeous boys for giving me a fabulous Mothers Day! I am such a lucky mom!

Alex had an exciting Mothers Day too. He got his first taste of rice cereal and ate in his high chair like a big boy.

He really didn't know what to think of it all. He likes the bottle much better because it gives him instant and constant gratification but he will figure out the spoon one day just like he did the bottle.

He was 10 weeks old this past week and weighed in around 12.5 pounds. He is smiling and cooing more and doing something new every day.

Alex went to his first concert this past week too. Travis had his final middle school choral concert and they sang Alex right to sleep. Travis enjoyed showing off his new brother to some of the girls. Travis thinks Alex is his own personal "chic magnet". He didn't really need Alex as a wingman though because he looked so handsome in his tuxedo.

The picture below I just love and had to share...I hope everyone had a great Mothers Day! This is what it is all about!

Splish Splash

When Alex got shots last week the nurse suggested letting him soak in a warm bath if his legs seemed sore. From earlier pictures that I posted on the blog, you all know that Alex isn't fond of taking a bath. He lays in an infant net just above the water in the tub and fusses at me the entire time I am bathing him. This time, I let him sit down in the water in the tub so his legs could soak and he really liked it. He was so cute that I taped it for his daddy to see when he got home from work. It was too cute not to share. (Don't worry Alex, Mommy kept the important parts covered!)
